This role is ideal for an accounting professional in the Philippines who is thorough, deadline-driven, and committed to sound financial practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Duties and Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1. General Ledger Maintenance<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Maintain and update the general ledger on a regular basis, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded in accordance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS) and company policies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prepare and post journal entries for accruals, adjustments, prepayments, and other recurring transactions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure proper chart of accounts mapping and adherence to internal accounting controls.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2. Reconciliation Oversight<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Perform and oversee monthly bank reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations, and balance sheet account reconciliations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Investigate and resolve reconciling items in a timely manner.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prepare reconciliation reports and escalate discrepancies to the Finance Manager as needed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>3. Cost Allocation Monitoring<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Monitor and review cost allocation across departments, projects, or cost centers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure proper distribution of shared expenses and overhead costs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prepare cost allocation schedules and provide analysis to support management reporting and budgeting.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>4. Assistance, Oversight, and Review of Key Accounting Processes<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>4.1 Accounts Payable &amp; Vendor Invoice Processing<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Review and validate vendor invoices for completeness, accuracy, and proper authorization prior to processing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure timely and accurate recording of payables in the accounting system.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Coordinate with the procurement and operations teams for invoice matching and dispute resolution.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>4.2. BIR Tax Compliance<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Review and oversee the preparation and timely filing of BIR tax returns, including but not limited to Value-Added Tax (VAT) and Expanded Withholding Tax (EWT).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure accurate computation of input\/output VAT and proper application of withholding tax rates per BIR regulations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monitor compliance with tax deadlines and support external and BIR audits as required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>4.3.
